CONTE TARGETS FIRST AWAY WIN

New Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte has not won an away game in the Premier League but he has a chance to change this when the North London outfit take on home team Watford on New Year's Day.

Tottenham Hotspur have improved especially on the defensive front since Conte took charge of the first team at the start of November. He has adopted a three-man central defence during his tenure and it has worked well till date. Wales national team star Ben Davies is a part of the new defence under Conte. The Wales international is now a regular in the Spurs defence under Conte alongside Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez. Wales star Davies was in the Spurs XI as they battled to a 1-1 draw with Southampton in their last league game.

JUVENTUS KEEN TO OFFLOAD RAMSEY

Italian giants Juventus are reportedly keen to offload Wales national team star Aaron Ramsey in the winter transfer window next month. Italian publication Tuttosport disclosed that Juventus director Federico Cherubini didn't travel back to Italy after the Champions League humbling received at the hands of holders Chelsea.

Juventus players were heavily chastised in the Italian media after the heavy defeat handed to them by Chelsea. Goals from Trevor Chalobah, Callum Hudson-Odoi, substitute TimoWerner and in-form Reece James gave reigning Champions League winners Chelsea a 4-0 win at home to the Old Lady.

CAN JAMES REVIVE HIS CAREER AT MANCHESTER UNITED?

Manchester United midfielder Daniel James faces a huge task of convincing his mama her Olé Gunnar Solskjær that he still has a lot to offer and that he could still have a huge role to play within the squad. The Wales international midfielder has been sidelined and restricted to only a few games under Solskjær this term because of how suddenly he lost his form.

He has had to battle for a place in the team with Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Juan Mata, and Mason Greenwood, and with the Red Devils said to be interested in signing Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund this summer, he could slide further down the pecking order at the club. James was a superb signing for United when he first joined the club from Swansea some months ago as he enjoyed a scoring streak in a few games before finally going out of form and being dropped to the bench.

WALES BOOST W/CUP HOPES AGAINST ESTONIA

Wales have boosted their World Cup qualification hopes following their win in Estonia last week. The Welsh team is in contention to qualify for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament alongside Czech Republic and Belgium from Group E of the European qualifiers.

Star player Gareth Bale was a major absentee for Wales ahead of the latest qualifiers this month but they were able to remain in contention for a place in the playoffs at least as far as qualifying for Qatar 2022 is concerned.

Without injured Real Madrid attacker Bale, Wales picked up four points from two qualifying games this month, including an impressive 2-2 draw at the home of fellow World Cup qualification hopefuls Czech Republic.

BALE RULED OUT FOR TWO MONTHS

Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has been ruled out of action for up to eight weeks due to the hamstring injury picked up during a training session with his Spanish La Liga club earlier this month. Bale had just returned to Real Madrid when he sustained the hamstring strain after a few weeks on international duty with the Wales national team.

Wales international Bale is not expected to play again until November as a result of the injury. The injury update on Bale as revealed by English publication Daily Mail is a big blow for Wales who have Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers to navigate next month. The Real Madrid forward will certainly miss those World Cup qualifiers in the colours of the Wales national team next month.

JAMES PICTURED OUT ON TEAM DINNER WITH UNITED PLAYERS

With speculations still eclipsing Manchester United winger Daniel James at the club, the attacker has been pictured on a team dinner with the rest of the squad, which means that he could end up remaining at United anyway for this new season.

The player was pictured with a number of other United players as the lads went out to have a team dinner together in what looked like they were trying to strengthen the bond that exists between them ahead of the new season. While a lot of fans believe that James could be leaving the club this summer whether temporarily or permanently, it looks like they might have to watch him play for the club for at least one more season instead.

JAMES SAYS HE WILL FIGHT FOR HIS SPOT AT UNITED

Manchester United winger Daniel James has reacted to reports that he may either have to be loaned out or sold this summer following the arrival of Jadon Sancho from German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.

The winger has found playing time hard to come by at United and the situation has now gone even worse as Sancho will now provide even tougher competition for him at the club. Before the end of last season, James lost his spot to Mason Greenwood and found it hard to win it back because of the blistering form the England international star was in.
