NO STAR RETURN

Wales national team manager Chris Coleman has ruled out of the potential return of star names like Ryan Giggs and Craig Bellamy for the upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers. Wales have had a distinct lack of star names, but Giggs and Bellamy continued to remain as some of the best players to have represented the country.

Right now, they have Gareth Bale flying the flag and with the likes of Aaron Ramsey continuing to develop at a frantic pace, the future of the Wales National team looks bright. However, they are not prepared to dwell on the past after Coleman ruled out a potential return for the veterans.

Giggs is widely expected to retire at the end of the season, while Bellamy has also managed to just about carry on playing football. Even though he is in the Premier league right now with Cardiff city, Coleman says that it is now time Wales looked at the future. Giggs has not played for the Welsh national team since going into international retirement back in 2007. The 34-year-old Bellamy, meanwhile, is expected to be relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.

Both players, however, did play a part in the 2012 Olympics, but that is just about the closest fans can hope according to Coleman.

"We'll concentrate on what we've got and that's how we look at it. I think the problem we've got is we've got a habit of saying what was. We need to forget what was. We need to concentrate on what is and what's going to be and that's what we'll do. Ryan Giggs is one of the finest players the Premier League's ever seen and one of the finest players Wales has ever produced. But that's four or five years ago so we don't look back, we look forward,” said Coleman.
