LEGG CONSIDERS SUMMER FOOTBALL

Llanelli recently exited the Europa league in the group stages, which has persuaded manager Andy Legg to consider a return to summer football.

The club were hoping to get into the latter stages of the qualifying round of the Europa league, which would have given them a real opportunity to play in the group stages of the competition. However, they were beaten 3-2 by finish club KuPS in the first qualifying round. Following the exit from the competition at this early stage, Andy Legg has said that it would be a right time to consider return to summer football.

CAN LLANELLI END BANGOR RUN

Bangor City manager Nev Powell has come out with the statement saying that he expects his team's good run of form to continue in the match against Llanelli.

This is a top of the table clash that is set to become the talking point this weekend.

LLANELLI FACE RHYL

Llanelli have been drawn against Rhyl in the Welsh Cup. The draw for the fourth round of the Welsh Cup was made recently and holders Llanelli will be up against Rhyl.

LLANELLI SUFFER TNS DEFEAT

Hopes were high when Llanelli took to the pitch at The New Saints' home ground, with the reds just three points behind leaders TNS in the league - a win would take them to joint top with just a few games to go.

Sadly it wasn't to be, with TNS proving too much of a handful at home, and causing the Llanelli defenders and goalkeeper too many problems.

LLANELLI WIN WELSH CUP

Llanelli AFC finally brought the domination of Bangor City FC over the Welsh Cup by winning it. The victory brought to an end their opponents' superb run in the competition, Bangor having lifted the trophy in each of the last three seasons thanks to a run of 23 Welsh Cup ties without defeat. The side coached by Neville Powell were also been crowned Welsh Premier League champions last week, but they were always on the back foot at Parc Y Scarlets, falling behind to well-placed headers from Rhys Griffiths and Craig Moses in the first half.
